Eva Ingber

Welcome to my website

I would be happy to speak with you, and hear what you hoping to work on, answer your questions, and see if my skills are a fit for you.

In my practise I work with people to move towards change, focussing on people’s strengths, while enhancing one’s coping strategies.  My goal is to always work collaboratively with people, recognizing that people often feel ambivalent about difficult decisions and may lack confidence or skills to move forward.

Here are some questions to consider:

If nothing changes, what do you see happening in six months?  If you decide to change, what will it be like?

What are your hopes for the near future?

How would you like things to be different?

What do you hope will be better by seeking counselling?

Areas of counselling include:

  • Life transitions
  • Making lifestyle and behavioural changes
  • Relationship issues
  • Women’s issues
  • Substance use counselling from a harm reduction approach
  • Mental health issues
  • Coping strategies, self-care, setting boundaries
  • Relapse prevention
  • The recovery process, finding hope and meaning
  • Supporting a significant other (partner, child, parent)
around addiction and mental health issues, while taking care of yourself
  • Navigating the treatment system for yourself or a significant other
